The objective of the project was to establish a stable nut insertion operation and ensure serial production compliance for the Volvo V43X program.
The project involved the design and manufacturing of a nut inserter prototype tool related to the nut insertion process, which was performed as a dedicated operation within the manufacturing sequence.
Our Scope:
– Technical review of the nut stamping process
– Implementation of required geometric and process corrections in the CAD design
– Setup of the nut insertion operation
– Assist with stamping of the prototype parts
Result:
As a result of the modifications, the nut insertion operation was successfully integrated into the prototype production process with stable manufacturing performance.
